The minimum age for PGCIL
Civil AE through GATE Vacancy 2020 is 18 years. The maximum age for PowerGrid Electrical
AE through GATE Job 2020 is 28 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST candidate is 5
years. Age relaxation to PWD candidate is 10 years. Age relaxation for OBC (NCL)
candidate is 3 years. The Cut-off date for age calculation is 31.12.2019.

SELECTION PROCESS:
The selection of the
candidate for PowerGrid PGCIL AE Trainee GATE Vacancy 2020 is on the basis of Gate
Score, Personal Interview and Group Discussion. Out of 100% weightage, GATE
marks weightage would be 85%, Group Discussion would be 3% and Personal
Interview would have 12% weightage.
Candidates
shortlisted for GD and interview will have to undergo psychometric assessment
results of which shall be used as an input during the interview.
Please note that only
GATE 2019 score (Normalized Marks out of 100) is
valid for this
recruitment process. GATE score of 2018 or prior or GATE
2020 is not valid.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:
Things to remember
before applying PowerGrid PGCIL AE Trainee GATE Vacancy 2020 is given below.
1. Interested and eligible candidates have
to register themselves online, irrespective of the applications made earlier
for any other post/recruitment process in POWERGRID, at POWERGRID website www.powergridindia.com
with details of their GATE-2019 registration number and other required
information.
2. GATE Registration No. as
appearing on the GATE-2019 Admit Card needs to be entered carefully in the
online application form. No other number should be entered as GATE-2019
Registration number while applying to POWERGRID.
3. Enter your name and other
details exactly as entered in your GATE-2019 score card.
4. Fill up other details in the
application very carefully. Please take care while filling out the email/
alternative email fields since all important communication shall be through
emails only.
5. The candidate should submit
the online application by clicking the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
If the same is accepted, the system will generate a unique POWERGRID
Registration Number which shall appear in the completed application form.
6. The primary email ID entered
by the candidate is the Login ID and the unique Registration Number generated
is the password for logging in to POWERGRID Online application system.
7. Candidates will have to
upload their latest color passport size photograph (.jpg file size not
exceeding 50 kb), scanned copy of signature (.jpg file size not exceeding 30
kb), caste certificate/ disability certificate/ discharge certificate/ age
relaxation cum domicile certificate and essential qualification certificate
along with final year/semester mark sheet /EWS certificate(.pdf file size not
exceeding 1 MB).
8. Candidates shall be required
to bring a valid photo ID to the interview. Photocopies of the original
identification document shall not be acceptable. Candidates will not be
permitted to appear for the group discussion and interview if original and
valid photo identification is not presented along with the GATE 2019 admit card
and scorecard.
